Me and my wife stayed here a little over a year ago. Sorry for taking so long. We’re from down south and it was my first time in California. We rented the room closest to the beach on the right. The view was beautiful every day. The room was just what we wanted. Every thing you might need is in walking distance. Also the pop up farmers market was an added bonus. Also the staff was great and super helpful and friendly. The homeless were not even a problem. I even got to know a few of them. They didn’t want anything from me. All in all this Hotel is solid all around.

This two-story hotel, owned by a local, civic minded family, fits the bill of ‘The OB Experience.’ It’s got The View. It’s got The Location. It’s always been priced fairly. It’s safe, secure and across the street from the Pacific Ocean and on this esoteric community’s main street. The OB Hotel keeps getting better. It’s the most solid two star hotel you’ll find. It’s not for stuffy, puffed-up bling-wearing hipsters. It’s for families, beach-goers and those who dig the scene inside the People’s Republic of Ocean Beach. It’s a winner for those seeking a true San Diego ocean vacation.

I travel almost weekly for work, and this was hands down one of the best check-in customer services I have ever experienced. I had an issue with my booking and they took the time to answer any questions I had and were extremely patient and kind. I was seriously blown away with how courteous they were. The rooms are also neat and clean. Major plus! Would definitely stay here again. 👍

We stayed her last week and had a great visit to Ocean Beach. This hotel was great - the manager that helped the new employee check us in was fabulous. I feel terrible I don't remember their names. The room was clean, bed was comfy, the location is the best!! Every restaurant and bar we went to the people were welcoming and great to chat with. I highly recommend!! Yes there are homeless in the area but NEVER once felt threatened - a few of them had great music by the beach and were super fun for people watching :)

My family had such a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel. This was our first time there, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were all very friendly, and our accommodations were very safe, clean, and comfortable. Family-friendly and dog-friendly, too. The amazing Ocean Beach views/vibes and the hotel's convenient location were the icing on the cake! There was so much to see and do (beach, food, music, people-watching) and all within walking distance! Plus, the hotel has a beautiful and relaxing courtyard and fountain to enjoy. All in all, my family had a safe and wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel, and we can't wait to return for another family vacation.

I have no regrets staying here! I just wished the hotel room itself was bigger, and had centralized AC + dehumidifier. Instead we got a mini split cooling system that worked on and off. Our floors were often moist from the humidity. The hotel itself tho is beautiful and the staff is quick + polite. The view you have is also beautiful and the location is okay, but you have lots of homeless people around. The parking lot was a big trouble for me as well. They have the smallest parking spaces I have ever seen and you will 100% get a door ding there. I’d like to say I enjoyed my stay because of how close it is to lots of attractions and downtown. I felt comfortable and clean inside the hotel so I really don’t have any more complaints. Loved my stay here but definitely won’t be here again.

I want to keep this place a secret spot because of my love for this place. So everyone stay away. Its amazing and the staff at the desk is also. I lost my telephone and he found it. 5 stars and the balcony is amazing. The rooms with a balcony are a must.
